Our Macron Replacement Arc Flash Shields is designed to be used with our Arc Flash Hoods. This Arc Face Shield MUST be worn in a switch hood which is the responsibility of the purchaser; please contact a reputable hood manufacturer. The NFPA 70E-2000 recommends that the user also wear safety glasses and a hard hat with the Arc Face Shield. The Arc Face Shield is optically correct with an anti-fog coating for better visibility. This is a dual pane Arc Face Shield that is light enhancing green in color. The user must perform a Hazard Risk Assessment to determine their level of exposure and need.

Always do a hazard assessment. You will need to know electrical system voltage, fault current available, number of phases, Arc time duration, estimated Arc gap, minimum distance from the Arc, and Arc configuration.
