HID light fixture tester for mogul base testing (ballast check) of hid lamps. Electronic ballast tester is compatible with H.I.D. ballast (high intensity discharge; HPS and MH lamps) from 70W up to 1500W. The unit checks the open circuit voltage of the ballast (OCV) along with the starting pulse voltage (HID starter test). Instructions are printed right on the HID ballast tester! (HID Light Fixture Tester).

Instructions are printed right on the fixture testers:

  • 1. Make sure power is off
  • 2. Screw tester into base lampholder and turn power on
  • 3. The tester checks the starting pulse voltage and the open circuit voltage (OCV) of the ballast
  • 4. Lamp 1 blinks–OK, Lamp 1 does not blink–check starter
  • 5. Lamp 2 lights–OK, Lamp 2 does not light–check ballast
