Made in the USA Our shirts and pants using TenCate Tecasafe PlusTM are comfortable, lightweight with inherent heat and flame resistant properties. NFPA 70 E HRC 2 compliant and NFPA 2112 certifed, they provide durable and affordable electric arc protection to electricians, electrical contractors, and flash fire protection for workers in the petroleum petrochemical, fire service and other professionals with potential exposure to arc flash / flash fire.

8 cal TecaSafe everyday wear clothing is a flame-resistant 7 oz 8.4 cal/cm2 work shirt with two-piece lined collar, one-piece lined cuffs with button closures.

FR woven work pants are available in 8 cal/cm2 ATPV rating, sewn with Nomex thread, two front scope pockets, two rear pockets. Zipper fly closure with comfort fit designed belt loops.

Determine the Correct Protection Level, To evaluate Fire Retardant clothing materials in order to measure the heat transferred through the fabric, two values are calculated: Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV)...the minimum energy causing the predicted onset of second-degree burns and Heat Attenuation Factor (HAF)...the percentage of total energy of the arc that the fabric prevents from passing through, OSHA requires that each employer must assess the potential hazards in the work environment and determine the appropriate clothing materials using ASTM PS57-97. Always do a hazard assessment. You will need to know electrical system voltage, fault current available, number of phases, Arc time duration, estimated Arc gap, minimum distance from the Arc, and Arc configuration.
